full capacity
I operate at full capacity. Always.
I overfill my schedule; overload my work week; overcomplicate my free-time. And when my life is not filled to the brim, I go nuts.
Three months ago I was a graduate student, extended day teacher, and a behavior support professional. Now I work 30 minutes a day... thats it. I am feeling as stagnant as ever. , In the middle of May, my boyfriend, Morgan, and I moved from Salt Lake City, Utah to Kirksville, Missouri. He is a first year medical student and I am just trying to stay sane in a slow rolling, incredibly humid, middle of no where town. Going out for a vegetarian-friendly meal... Taco Bell. Need a new shirt or pair of shoes... priority shipping or 90 minute drive. Our farmers market has mayyyyybe eight white tents with limited produce and an occasional lemonade stand, and a night on the town usually consists of a grocery trip to the local Walmart. If you know me, you know I'm a sucker for small town charm; a local coffee shop, delightful town squares, unwavering school pride. But... there are suburban amenities that I rely on... heavily. Like a dinner that isn't made up of only carbs and cheese, a killer yoga studio, or a quick browse through Target.
We are really testing the whole, "you can do anything for two years," thing.
Until then, I wanted to share some of my life with you; my recipes, fresh plant babies, new words from Maverick, the things keeping me busy. Maybe you'll be inspired to add a little more plants to your plate or your home, or maybe Maverick will be so cute that you will get your self your very own golden. Either way, I'd be happy to bring a bit of sunshine into your life.
From Kirksville to you.
